9 de Julio is an instrumental composition by José Luis Padula. It was first performed in 1916 to commemorate Argentina‘s independence day on the 9th of July.

I chose Juan D’Arienzo’s version of this tango because I think it‘s an interesting rhythmical approach to a tango melody. I recommend that you pay close attention to the bandoneons melodic interpretation when listening to this orchestra.
