A week full of passion, music, and movement under the Mediterranean sun! Immerse yourself in the world of Flamenco – its rhythms, melodies, and emotions.

This workshop brings music and dance together in a vibrant, living dialogue. Guided by dancer Anna Shmidt, guitarist Nikos Tsiachris, and harmonica player Marko Jovanović, you’ll explore the fascinating language of Flamenco – its characteristic rhythms (compás), expressive melodies, and the profound dialogue between movement, voice, and instrument.

In the music sessions, you’ll explore the foundations of Flamenco scales, harmonies, and rhythmic structures. Together we’ll work on traditional pieces, discover ways to improvise, and play as an ensemble.

In the dance sessions, Anna Shmidt will introduce you with great sensitivity and experience to the body language and expressive vocabulary of Flamenco – focusing on posture, rhythm, gesture, and the interplay with the music.

By the end of the week, both groups come together:
music and dance merge into a shared expression – intense, lively, and full of emotion.

Between classes, there’s plenty of time to relax by the sea, practice, or simply enjoy the special atmosphere of the Hotel Balatura – nestled between mountains and the Mediterranean, a place of peace, connection, and inspiration.

Who is this workshop for?
The workshop is open to musicians of all acoustic instruments – such as guitar, harmonica, violin, flute, clarinet, accordion, or percussion –
as well as to anyone who wishes to express themselves through dance.
Both experienced Flamenco performers and curious beginners are warmly welcome.
